PIPING SUPERINTENDENT

Cobb Mechanical Contractors has an immediate professional employment opportunity for an experienced commercial Pipefitting Superintendent. Successful applicants will have 10 years of experience leading a project team to safely install hydronic piping on a multi-story commercial project.
Successful applicants MUST be experienced and knowledgeable in the safe and efficient supervision and installation of process piping systems. This includes but is not limited to welded, threaded, grooved, and brazed copper pipe fitting and joining.
THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY-LEVEL POSITION
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
- Supervise team members in all aspects of pipefitting and welding operations and administer payroll reporting, productivity tracking, crew scheduling, material and equipment procurement, manpower loading, and enforcement of Company policy.
- Coordinate and communicate with key internal and external personnel to set production and schedule expectations.
- Proven written communication ability is a requirement.
- Proficient in computer and software systems to include Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Proven ability to understand project schedules, project manpower needs, and track productivity.
- Lead pipefitters and welders from the front and by example.
- Order materials and supplies on time to serve the team.
- Conduct inspections of work in progress.
- Strong understanding of and ability to interpret contract documents.
- Ensure piping projects are completed in a safe, high quality, and efficient manner.
- Coordinate with other trades and stakeholders to maintain a productive, business professional workplace.
- Aggressively pursue prefabrication opportunities.
- Able to manage problems and resolve conflicts while building and maintaining a strong, team-driven environment.
- Actively look for ways to succeed.
- Participate in an active and engaged leadership team as a leader.
- Report to the team on status and progress of work.
- Ensure team members receive training appropriate to skill level.
This is a salaried position with reasonable travel and living expenses included in the package.
