We are looking for a Medication Technician to join our team and provide medication administration services to geriatric patients in home health and long-term care settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, monitoring patient responses to medications, and providing patient education regarding medication use. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the elderly population, a strong understanding of medication administration protocols, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with medication administration and documentation.
- Provide medication education to patients and their families.
- Monitor patient response to medications.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding medication administration.
- Assist with the development of care plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate records of medications administered and patient responses.
- Assist in the development of patient care plans.
- Provide support to geriatric patients in long-term care settings.
