Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ranch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our ranch. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care, farm management, and mechanical knowledge. This role requires hands-on leadership to ensure the efficient functioning of ranch activities, including livestock management (120 head), hay production, and equipment maintenance.
It is preferred for the Ranch Manager to live on site in the house on the ranch.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the ranch, including livestock care and crop cultivation.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm machinery and equipment.
- Implement best practices for sustainable farming and greenhouse management.
- Coordinate feeding schedules, veterinary care, and breeding programs for livestock.
- Maintain accurate records of animal health, production data, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards on the ranch.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and welding equipment as needed for various tasks.
- Develop and manage budgets for ranch operations while optimizing resource use.
