What You'll Do as a Level 2 IT Technician:
Primary Functions:
- Technical Support:
- Provide second-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated help desk tickets efficiently.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving advanced technical problems.
- System Administration:
- Perform routine maintenance and updates for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Support Active Directory user management, group policies, and permissions.
- Ensure endpoint security, including antivirus and patch management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other IT team members on projects like deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Communicate technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of issues, solutions, and best practices.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on support trends.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to enhance IT service delivery and efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated with industry standards and emerging technologies.
What You Bring:
- Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications: CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent certifications preferred.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 IT support role.
- Hands-on experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Familiarity with Office 365, VPNs, remote desktop tools, and ticketing systems.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Technical Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities with hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
