Sports Director
Reports to: Clubhouse Manager
Supervises: Tennis Staff, Fitness Staff, Creek Caf Staff
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Plan, direct, coordinate, promote, execute and manage all functions involving the Creek Caf, Aquatics Complex, and Fitness. Assist the Racquets Director in the oversight of the Racquets program. Present new ideas for events and service and serve as Club lead on technological advertising and implementations. Contribute to the enhancement of the member experience in all areas possible.
Job Tasks/Duties
Financial Performance
- Completes weekly schedules and monthly labor forecasts for all assigned staff
- Full financial accountability for the Creek Caf; season projections, comprehension of budget (both physically and from a variance perspective), analysis of actuals
- Departmental Expense Line reports produced monthly and at end of season; includes all expense/revenue points for department
Marketing
- Plans, promotes and generates enthusiasm and interest for the clubs diverse sports/social programs; coordinates the efforts of volunteers and the clubs staff
- Coordinates all events and activities with the clubs Marketing and Membership Director
- Leads controlled Marketing push for all Caf and Fitness related events and offerings
Administration
- Keeps an accurate history file of each event; writes follow-up correspondence to include P&Ls and all relevant information to feed expense line reports
- Arranges classes for members to involve one on one fitness offerings and group fitness offerings
- Coordinates with Food and Beverage Department personnel to plan major food promotions throughout the year at the various event spaces for Sporting activities primarily the Creek Cafe
- Works closely with other club departments to ensure that complete, concise information goes to both club members and staff members who will be working directly with each social sports event
- Directly responsible for the planning, execution, and supervision of the Summer Kids Camp program
- Ensures that an effective program of recreational events for members, children, and guests is ongoing.
- Attends Staff and Management meetings
- Assists with the development of Annual Social Calendar
- Full knowledge and control over the Point of Sale and Court Booking modules as they pertain to the Sports operation
- Full knowledge and control over Visage marketing and food ordering system
- Directly responsible for administration and compliance of all assigned staff trainings for subordinates
Sports
- Direct oversight over all Fitness and Aquatics offerings
- Assists with marketing of all Racquets events; proposes ideas to Racquets Director
- Direct oversight over F&B portion of both Racquets events and any Aquatics complex events
- Assists with the sales of Racquets related merchandise when needed
- Direct oversight over Pool Guest Fees/Attendance administration and accountability; assists Racquets Director and Pro Shop Manager with same for Racquets guest fees
- Direct oversight over the Personal Training department; creates pricing packages, tracks used sessions, markets offerings, ensures trainers are given the tools necessary to succeed
- Ensures Creek Caf stays on the forefront of offering health-based options at the club
- Oversight over a successful aquatics program, including Aqua based fitness and potentially swimming lessons
- Responsible for the planning, execution, and supervisory phases of pool-side Cabana implementation

- Assisting with all clubhouse F&B operations during the shoulder season months of
January-March and October-December at the discretion of the F&B director.

the department and club as a whole.
