CAES is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Procurement Manager to lead our strategic sourcing and procurement efforts. In this pivotal role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely delivery of materials to support our production operations. You will oversee a team of procurement professionals, driving innovation and efficiency across our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include developing and executing sourcing strategies to optimize costs and delivery times, negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers, managing supplier relationships to ensure performance and quality, identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, and mitigating supply chain risks and disruptions. Responsibilities
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviews Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for FAR, DFAR's compliance and overall value.
- Places purchase orders of medium to high complexity in accordance with all regulatory and corporate compliance requirements for various complex subcontracts (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.).
- Supports negotiation strategies and formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, scope, Terms & Conditions).
- Performs price and cost analysis techniques in support of proposals.
- Works closely with the Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, etc.) to achieve objectives.
- Maintains POs to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information.
- Develops procurement strategy & takes responsibility for overall purchasing and strategic initiatives to build a competitive position.
- Leads a group of purchasing agents and buyers throughout the process of building relationships, negotiating, evaluating, conducting interviews, and managing supplier and vendor contracts.
- Issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to identify potential supply sources for required materials or services and participates on the proposal evaluation team in fact-finding, technical evaluations, and cost / price analysis of suppliers’ responses.
- Effectively serves as first point of escalation to resolve pricing and lead time challenges with suppliers.
- Develops and executes negotiation strategies for pricing agreements and long-term agreements.
- Provides guidance on effective source selections to ensure compliant awards.
- Utilizes metrics and KPIs to effectively evaluate supplier performance, while maintaining supplier performance KPI and proactively working with suppliers towards continual improvement.
- Leads process improvement initiatives and proactively identifies and implements solutions to ensure compliance.
- Conducts and oversees compliance training to maintain regulatory adherence.
- Expedites material to ensure on-time delivery.
- Ability to present to senior leadership team as needed, such as Quarterly business vendor reviews, supplier escalations & vendor performance improvement plans.
- Requires approximately 10% travel for vendor interface, contract negotiations, and other business-related activities.

Salary Range : $122,000 - $175,000 annually. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographical location, job function of the position, education, and experience of the successful candidate. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as business results.
