The Demand Planner will drive and support the development of the Demand Planning Forecast. Through reporting and regular routines, the Demand Planner will gather key inputs to improve and build true customer demand at a weekly level. The role will assist in the development of creating and maintaining forecast statistical models while utilizing customer insights to improve Forecast Accuracy. This role reports to Demand Manager with no direct reports.
What Your Day Will Look Like
- Manage and leverage the Demand Planning system and routines as essential resources to create and review statistical forecasts by gathering, analyzing, and validating data. Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Taking ownership of Bottler to Bottler statistical forecasts
- Assist in the development and execution of the Region Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Forecast Process in Blue Yonder including the ownership of training and development within the tool
- Participate in regional cross-functional collaboration meetings with Sales, Marketing, Commercialization, Lifecycle, and PSS to facilitate an accurate Consensus Demand Plan on a weekly basis
- Prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and guide final decision making on any open items that need closure as well as prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate
- Analyze supply and demand issues and facilitate resolution throughout the supply chain
- Serve to support Demand Planning team with special projects where necessary
- Participate in other business meetings and functional groups at the recommendation of Demand Manager for development and growth opportunities
- Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or 2 to 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of statistical and mathematical computer programs and modeling techniques. Ability to analyze large amounts of data for developing projections and estimates
- Knowledge of demand forecasting techniques and inputs (e.g., business trends, seasonality, consumption patterns)
- Strong working knowledge of integrated Supply Chain Planning systems and tools
- Blue Yonder preferred
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite, Expert knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, problem-solving, technical, and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment
