Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately for the role of a 1st shift Trailer Technician Trainee (entry level) for our site in Portage, IN. This role will primarily be responsible for assisting with preventative work and general maintenance within the shop and trailers.

Shift : Full-Time l Monday-Friday 6 : 30AM-3 : 00PM

Pay : $21.00-$22.00 / HR based on experience / qualifications

Position Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for the refurbishment and remanufacturing of company fleet assets by completing complex and detailed mechanical inspections, diagnoses, and repairs typical of technicians
  • Complete thorough documentation for work orders for repairs through the online AssetWorks system
  • Assists with the installation of trailer refrigeration, heating units, and hydraulic liftgate components
  • Diagnoses, repairs, and installations of trailer roll-up and swing doors as well as the installation of external graphics
  • Assist with the replacement of defective components as instructed
  • Other duties as assigned
