As a Maintenance Pipe Fitter with The Coca-Cola Company, you will read design specifications to cut and weld pipes, while performing routine inspections, installations, maintenance and repairs to pipe systems and related equipment.
Job Related Responsibilities and Key Functions
- Inspecting the workplace, clearing obstructions and preparing materials and equipment.
- Studying blueprints and planning pipe systems and related equipment installations.
- Using a variety of tools to modify pipes to specifications.
- Measuring and marking pipes for cutting and threading.
- Assembling and welding pipe components and systems.
- Securing pipes to walls and fixtures with brackets, clamps, and welding equipment.
- Ordering required materials such as pipes, hangars, brackets, hydraulic cylinders, etc.
- Repairing and maintaining pipe systems, supports, and related equipment.
- Clearing pipe systems of obstructions and testing their functionality.
- Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance systems for all production equipment and / or batching / processing equipment, including audits / verification of execution of predictive and preventative maintenance practices for all production equipment and systematic preventative maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.
- Act as a resource for mechanics in identification and correction of potential equipment problems and troubleshooting and maintaining production lines and / or batching / processing equipment.
- Properly perform all necessary maintenance tasks to production lines (i.e. rebuilds, welding, valve, pipe and solenoid selection, etc.).
- Maintain accurate records and logs as required.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.
- Work directly with cross-departmental personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum production efficiencies.
- Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.
- Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.
- Perform quality checks and accurate quality documentation as required.
- Read, understand and comply with standard operating procedures and Safety Data Sheets.
- Able to explain and demonstrate job tasks to all internal and external visitors.
- Use computer and associated software to troubleshoot and correct equipment issues.
- Actively assist with planning / scheduling and storeroom staff for tracking work orders, parts, and purchase requisitions.
- Identify and assist in the implementation of projects as required.
Qualification and Additional Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- 3 years of equipment reliability experience
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance-related problems, read diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
- Must achieve a passing score on the Maintenance Automation Technician evaluation
- Must be certified on the training plan for this position within 180 days of start date.
- Possess own tools per the Maintenance required tool list
- Working knowledge of data network, switches, routers and servers
- Must be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as determined by business needs.
- Must be able to use a computer and associated software programs.
- A valid second-class Engineers license useful
