What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Intake Specialist position at Cocaine Alcohol Awareness Program, Inc.?
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment and evaluation services that allow for appropriate referral to program for treatment of substance abuse and/or co-occurring services
- Collect data for needs assessment and eligibility documentation
- Enter patients data into Tennessee Web- based Information Technology System (TN-WITS)
- Arrange referrals and follow-up interviews as needed.
- Perform a variety of routine clerical tasks such as filling out applications
- Assist in mobilizing community resources on behalf of clients
- Pre certification for third party payer
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
Ability to communicate orally and in writing, deal tactfully with the clients and the general public, identify and work with other Social Service Agencies.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor Degree Preferred, 2-3 years of previous experience in Behavioral Health and Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services.
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
