Role Description
This is a contracted on-site position for a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at COCHISE FAMILY ADVOCACY CENTER INC in Sierra Vista, AZ. The role involves conducting medical forensic examinations of sexual assault patients, providing compassionate care and support, documenting findings, collecting evidence, collaborating with law enforcement and other healthcare professionals, and testifying in legal proceedings when required.
Qualifications
- Forensic nursing skills, including evidence collection and documentation
- Experience in providing care and support to survivors of sexual assault
- Knowledge of forensic procedures and protocols related to sexual assault examinations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient when working independently
- Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for at least 2 years
- Completion of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) training program - *Preferred but we can provide training with a commitment*
- Open and flexible schedule when on-call
