JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Radiation Therapist that will provide high quality and accurate delivery to patients through the use of Radixact, and XOFT. Treatment techniques may include 3D conformal, IMRT, SBRT, and electronic brachytherapy treatments. The individual in this position will be responsible for providing a high standard of tasks, including:
- operation of radiation equipment and delivery of planned course of radiation therapy as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist,
- assist with making patient immobilization devices.
- should be able to decipher when alterations are needed to treatment immobilization devices,
- assures all department rules and regulations are followed,
- observes all radiation safety measures for patients and personnel.
- maintains open and timely communication regarding the patient’s care,
- maintain a timely schedule minimizing wait time for the patient and family.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Display basic knowledge of computers,
- display basic knowledge of necessary equipment in Radiation Oncology,
- well organized, self-motivated, display problem solving skills,
- able to communicate effectively and collaborate with dosimetry, physics, nursing, and physicians,
- use technical and empathetic skills to administer radiation treatments to cancer patients,
- knowledge of basic dosimetry to enable in proper treatment of patients
QUALIFICATIONS
ARRT Certified or Board Eligible
Applied Associated of Science (AAS) or Bachelor’s of Science in Radiation Therapy or related field
