The Human Resource Director will direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including recruiting staff, tracking employee performance, coordinating benefits and enforcing company policies and practices.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

· Partners with the management team in overall planning, directing and evaluation of human resource activities for the agency.

· Serves as a resident expert and staff resource on personnel matters.

· Updates and maintains all personnel files and records.

· Update and maintain staff training records.

· Administer human resource programs in accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws (i.e. FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, TITLE IV, and EEO).

· Provides training on various topics (i.e. EEO, FERPA, FMMLA, ADA, TITLE IX).

· Updates and administers personnel procedures in conjunction with the Executive Director.

· Advertises, recruits, interviews and completes reference checks for new vacancies.

· Logs performance evaluation completions and prompts managers of upcoming performance reviews.

· Develops and maintains job descriptions and evaluations for each position in the agency.

· Ensures fingerprint requirements are met as required by DES and DOE for both new and current employees.

· Coordinates with the Finance Department of benefit administration.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates have the following:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a closely related field.

· SHRM-CP certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.

· 5 years of HR experience with increasing responsibilities.

· Ability to obtain and maintain an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

· Valid Arizona Driver’s License.

· Ability to travel within Cochise County and occasionally within the State.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
