Cochran’s Union, Missouri location is looking for a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in civil design of water projects including drinking water, wastewater, and water resources. We are dedicated to improving water quality and infrastructure to meet the growing demands of our communities and industries!


Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing projects related to water supply, treatment, and wastewater management. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to environmental sustainability.


Primary Responsibilities:

Project Design and Development:

  • Design and develop water supply and distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and treatment facilities.
  • Prepare engineering reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis of water and wastewater systems.


Project Management:

  • Oversee the implementation of water and wastewater projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project compliance and timely delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, budget, and quality control standards.


Technical Support and Consultation:

  • Provide technical support to municipal and industrial clients on water and wastewater issues.
  • Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies.
  • Recommend and implement improvements for existing water and wastewater systems.


Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure all projects comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for permits and regulatory approvals.


Research and Development:

  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling tools
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in office and field environments.
  • Occasionally required to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
