Duties
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.

- Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and other law enforcement activities.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations, conducting stops and issuing citations as necessary.
- Provide assistance in criminal investigations by collaborating with other law enforcement agencies.
- Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities within the community.
- Engage in community policing efforts to build trust and rapport with residents.
- Administer first aid when necessary and coordinate with medical personnel during emergencies.
- Handle animals in distress or involved in incidents as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or related fields is preferred.
- Must successfully complete police academy training and be Act 120 certified.
