What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parasail Deckhand position at Cocoa Beach Parasail?
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic crew member to join the team at Cocoa Beach Parasail. Boating and service industry experience preferred but we offer on the job training to familiarize new hires with the parasailing industry.
Job duties include working with the captain to provide customers with a safe and enjoyable parasail experience via helping the captain launch and retrieve the parasail and harnessing the guests. The deckhand will also take photos of the guests and will receive commissions for photo sales. The deckhand is responsible for cleaning the parasail boat and equipment as well as assisting the captain with vessel maintenance.
Pay is hourly, photo commissions, and tips. The job presents great tip exposure with that being a large portion of the crew's income. Average hourly pay works out to $20 per hour when factoring in the tip and commission structure.
We are looking for a seasonal full or part time staff member to begin training immediately. Year round work is available for those that want to stay on for the offseason. Our busy season is March-August but we are open and working during the winter months.
All crew members must posess or obtain a cpr certification and join our company random drug testing program as required by the Unites States Coast Guard.
