Part time faculty are responsible for teaching requested Nursing clinical rotations. We are recruiting for the following clinical areas: RN Skills Lab and Clinical in Acute Care Settings (medical-surgical and maternal-newborn-pediatrics). Teaching assignments will include on-site clinical instruction at multiple healthcare facilities and may include day, evening, and weekend classes. Part-time faculty must be able to work collegially in a team environment. This is a temporary, non-benefits eligible position. Employment is determined on a course to course, semester to semester basis.
All of the courses are in-person courses in Flagstaff. We do not have online teaching opportunities at this time.Salary Range:
The pay for this position in an acute care setting is your hourly hospital pay rate. For skills or
simulation lab on campus, the rate is $26.00 per hour.

- Teach assigned clinical rotations, adhering to course outlines and student learning objectives. Follow syllabi in accordance with college procedures and course outline.
- Notify Director of Nursing and FT Faculty in case of absence from clinical.
- Follow all college policies and procedures.
- Respond to student inquiries in a timely manner.
- Prepare and grade assessments within the content area taught.
- Check CCC email and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Attend Nursing Faculty Orientation upon hire.
- Participate in student assessment and relevant program assessment as directed by the Director of Nursing, Dean or Vice President.
- Remain current in practices, trends, and research related to discipline area.
- Follow the same accepted standards of conduct as the full-time faculty as described in applicable administrative procedures which relate to satisfactory service and conduct becoming a faculty member.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
Ability to teach assigned course effectively. Knowledge of the subject area, computer and related technology (including Learning Management System). Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality of students and staff. Ability to support and promote the mission, values, purposes, and strategic plan of the College. Ability to work in a culturally diverse and team environment. Ability to integrate subject area with other related curricula. Knowledge of the applicable state and federal laws, such as Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Hold a current AZ RN license in good standing or multi-state privilege to practice in Arizona, and
- At least two years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care, and a graduate degree in Nursing (if the graduate degree is not in nursing, must hold a minimum of a baccalaureate degree in nursing), or
- A baccalaureate degree with a major in nursing and at least 3 years of experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care
