What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer S.T.E.A.M. Camp Assistant position at Coconino Community College?
The summer camp assistant at Coconino Community College is responsible for assisting the instructors on providing an engaging, hands-on lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and/or Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) for rising 6th-9th grade students with an emphasis in career exploration in these fields. This position requires an individual who can effectively support the management of a classroom, and has strong skills in communication, problem-solving, critical-thinking, and collaboration.
Work hours are based on the number of weeks selected for each camps. For weeks that you are participating in camps, the standard work hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-2:30pm (camps will be 9:00am-2:00pm).
ALL Instructors must complete the Summer Camp Assistant Proposal Form. - Assist with Project Delivery: Support the instructor in setting up and facilitating hands-on S.T.E.A.M. projects, ensuring students understand project steps.

Preferred
Experience working with middle school students, with a strong understanding of project-based learning and hands-on instructional support.
