Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in the supervision of cleaning and maintenance in the Law Enforcement facilities; performs related work as assigned.

- Plans and implements schedules and assignments for custodial staff
- Cleans and maintains County facilities
- Identifies and reports repair needs and makes minor repairs
- Performs grounds maintenance, including snow removal
- Prepares facilities for special events
- Prepares and maintains records and reports
- May oversee outside vendor activities and monitor contract compliance
- Performs related duties as assigned
Three years progressively responsible custodial or maintenance experience; OR any combination of education, training and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Preferred Qualifications:- Basic commercial building maintenance experience.
- Ability to work on a computer to maintain records, reports, and complete trainings.
- Effective managerial skills.
- Ability to work various shifts including second shift, some weekends and holidays as needed.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must submit to a background search and successfully pass polygraph examination. Must not have a felony conviction within previous ten years or dishonorable discharge from the military. Must obtain an Arizona driver's license by date of hire and maintain it throughout employment.
This position is safety sensitive.
This position is non-exempt from overtime.
Considerable knowledge of:
-Materials, equipment, and procedures used in custodial operations
-Occupational hazards and safety precautions
Working knowledge of:
-Principles and practices of effective supervision
-Basic math skills to determine quantities of required cleaning materials and supplies
Skill in:
-Operation and maintenance of custodial equipment
-Basic commercial building maintenance-Use of computer and word processing systems
Ability to:
-Plan, organize, and supervise a crew performing cleaning and repairs of facilities
-Effectively handle lifting of objects weighing up to 60 pounds
-Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
-Prepare and maintain records and reports
-Work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays
-Work safely and support the culture of workplace safety
-Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public
-Follow written and verbal instructions
-Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
