SUMMARY: The CRM Supervisor leads the clinical and administrative operations for CRMs within all treatment programs, provides direct supervision for the CRM team, and participates in improvements at the direction of the management team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- CRM Supervision:
- Maintain a partial case load to model desired clinical practices and maintain a close understanding of the CRM function. CRM Supervisor will achieve 25% productivity goal as a standard.
- Manage, monitor, and evaluate CRM performance, working under the guidance of the Program Manager to ensure program outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure program outcomes meet agency and contract expectations. Evaluate and track CRM team outcomes including, capacity, utilization, engagement, patient satisfaction and continuation of care.
- Identify and recommend adjustments to CRM team activities to improve outcomes; lead continuous quality improvement activities.
- Ensure contract and clinical service utilization targets are met. Meet with contracted community partner leadership regularly to ensure alignment with contract targets and that CRMs work is aligned with best practice guidelines.
- Ensure CRM team meets regulatory guidelines by completing all administrative functions within timeframe and applicable policy for level of care.
- Ensure documentation follows agency, local, state and federal regulations.
- Actively participate in and manage initiatives to ensure financial stability of CRM team. Including: monitoring of billable services, communication with insurers, collection of patient fees and oversight for clinical accuracy of treatment plans.
- Assure billing practices are consistent with agency corporate compliance policy. Ensure accurate and timely billing updates are made to electronic medical record.
- Team Supervision:
- Provide active administrative and clinical supervision for CRM staff to ensure quality of service, staff competency, alignment of mission, and staff engagement.
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and ensure excellence in the environment of care.
- Lead and supervise CRM staff in accordance with regulatory guidelines, inform capacity recommendations for recruiting and hiring; provide input and participate in performance evaluations; updating job descriptions, monitoring employee professional development and mentoring opportunities and advancement; and responding timely to performance issues.
- Clearly communicate agency wide and program specific performance standards and expectations to each employee.
- Manage labor costs by maintaining schedules that are consistent with budgeted FTE and Program requirements.
- Maintain and effectively utilize relief staff for scheduled and unscheduled absences.
- Approve and submit timesheets weekly, assuring time is accurately reported and represents actual time worked.
- Complete employee site orientation with each new staff within the first week of employment.
- Actively engage in recruiting and hiring process.
- Maintain open and ongoing communication with staff.
- Community Partner Administration:
- Actively collaborate with relevant provider agencies and referents to support provider relations, patient access, and successful patient outcomes.
- Promote innovation and entrepreneurial spirit with community partners.
- Engage community partners in a collaborative and constructive way that solicits feedback, focuses on outcomes, utilizes data and is solution focused.
- Positively represent CODA at program level provider meetings, in the community and at industry events.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Travel across sites to attend training, deliver or pick up supplies, or in providing services.
- Be a champion for agency initiatives through practicing positive change management techniques.
- Participate in and/or lead training and development activities.

This position will work in conjunction with the program manager to achieve the full range of supervisory responsibilities, ensuring appropriate steps are taken in hiring, coaching, corrective action, training and termination of
Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Two (2) years of paid full-time experience in the social services field with a minimum of two (1) years of direct alcohol and other drug recovery mentor experience.
- One (1) years supervisory experience or being in a lead role demonstrating high levels of competence as a CRM and experience training other staff members.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrated competence in leadership, wellness, oversight and evaluation of services, staff development, individual service and support planning, case management and coordination, utilization of community resources, group, family and individual peer service delivery, documentation and rationale for services to promote intended outcomes and implementation of all provider policies.
- Has advanced knowledge of and is able to effectively apply and teach others to apply evidenced-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, relapse prevention strategies, reframing of cognitive processes, and strategies for facilitating recovery and empowerment
- Ability to utilize both oral and written communications skills to effectively communicate with patients, co-workers, community resources, supervisors, and various other individuals encountered in the course of performing work while maintaining patient confidentiality and establishing professional rapport.
- Ability to maintain professional communications and boundaries while managing complex situations and interacting with individuals diagnosed with substance use or co-occurring conditions.
- Ability to operate a computer, utilize basic MS Office programs, and effectively navigate and maintain patient records in an electronic medical records system.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
- Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) Certification.
- CADC II or CADCI and ability to acquire CADCII within 1 year of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
- A valid Oregon or Washington driver’s license.
Salary : $19 - $19
