A well known Hospitality Group with multiple locations is building out their Finance operations and seeking a Controller- this professional will be reporting to the CFO and Owner Group. This firm has Been around for 20 yrs and in growth-mode. Seeking someone very hands-on to help lead all financial operations for their multiple locations.
Responsible for Lead and Driving Financials and Accounting cycle, including but not limited to Creating and maintenance of the general ledger, billing, accounts receivable/payable, month-end and year-end and various accounting statements along with budgeting and forecasting financial reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities
- Create and preparation of Financial Reports including journal entries, Micro P&L's
- Maintain daily banking requirements
- Expense report processing
- Bank reconciliations and intercompany accounts
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Prepare and maintain supporting spreadsheets and documentations
- Ensure that the general ledger activity is accurate and complete
- Work with external CPA Firm
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA preferred
- Minimum 10-20 years of relevant experience within Hospitality, Restaurants, Consumer Goods
- Proven experience in a Controllership role
- Strong Financial Accounting, GAAP, including significant reserves, cash-flow and complex accounting matters
- Experience with Sales Taxes, Credit Card Transactions, Workman Comp Audits
- Exposure to Sage Intacct ERP is preferred but not needed
