Senior Accountant (consolidations) @ Public Company

Coda Search is partnering with a publicly traded sports consumer packaged goods (CPG) company that has a global presence and a strong track record of growth. The company is a leader in its industry, known for its innovative products and commitment to excellence. The team is seeking a Senior Accountant – Consolidations to join their Corporate Accounting team, where they will play a key role in financial reporting, consolidations, and intercompany accounting.

This is a high-visibility position that works closely with finance leadership, FP&A, and external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the monthly and quarterly consolidation of financial statements across multiple subsidiaries and business units
• Perform and review intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations, and consolidation journal entries to ensure proper financial statement presentation.
• Assist with the preparation of 10-K, 10-Q, and other SEC filings, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly variance analysis on consolidated financial results, identifying trends and working with FP&A to provide insights.
• Act as a liaison between corporate and international finance teams to ensure accurate reporting
• Identify opportunities to streamline consolidation processes, improve data integrity, and enhance reporting efficiencies through automation.
• Assist with the annual financial audit, preparing supporting documentation and working with external auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CPA track highly preferred
• 3 years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting (Big 4 or large regional firm preferred)
• Experience with financial consolidations and intercompany transactions
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
