Senior Business Analyst (1 year contract)

Our client a reputable financial institution is currently seeking a Business Analyst for a large strategic technology transformation project. This will be a contract role that should last until the end of the year and may possibly get extended. The candidate will work to understand the impacts of the strategic initiatives and technologies to create better workflow efficiencies throughout the organization. This role will entail business analysis, technical writing, project management and the ability to work with various stakeholders. This role will be documenting in-depth assessments on existing technologies and being able to navigate the big-picture of the program. The candidate will work with the internal technology teams to understand their business workflows and data structures.

Responsibilities

• Create project artifacts and recommendations for Architecture & Business Technology leads to determine modernization and migration strategies for databases, platforms, APIs etc.
• Inventory and create project specific technical documentation for data software and hardware solutions
• Specify required interlocks between applications/systems and other divisional applications or processes
• Create project artifacts and recommendations for Architecture & Business Technology leads to determine modernization and migration strategies for databases, platforms, APIs etc.
• Collect and write detailed data transformation process requirements
• Create and maintain technical, process and data-related documentation

Successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in technology and/or business transformation consulting, preferably for a financial services firm(not required). Strong technology documentation experience in a data centric environment. The ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Strong attention to detail and communications skills are required in this role.
