Our client is a rapidly growing premier NYC based Financial Firm, seeking a SVP/Head of Finance, ideal individual will be asked to oversee financial projections, manage financial budgets/analysis, make recommendations for strategic change and present to executive committees
Responsibilities:
- Oversee global FP&A operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer
- Own firm-wide budget process and partnered with business unit heads to develop revenue, expense projections.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams including Sales, Operations, Engineering, Product, Marketing, and Human Resources on various initiatives impacting the financial reporting of the company including all financial metrics and KPI’s
- Manage all aspects of the monthly close process including revenues, expenses, T&E, equity, and taxes
- Create the full financial model and produce quarterly board reporting packages
- Present monthly financial updates and analysis before the Board of Directors
- Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, and play a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvements
- Create executive presentations of financial results for review with senior executives
- Support external audit engagements including managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparation/review of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures
- Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentations
- Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA preferred not required
- 10 years accounting experience out of Public Accounting or Private Accounting team is a plus.
- In depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and doing detailed account analyses.
- Strong background in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Excel, VBA) budgeting, and forecasting with a solid understanding of financial statements and financial analysis techniques
- Experience or interest in accounting for financial/technology companies
Salary : $400,000 - $500,000
