Our client is a global Alternative Asset Manager, who is seeking a VP Finance (addition to staff) reporting to CFO. Client is seeking individual will lead the path for expansion while maximizing efficiencies and setting the framework for firms' financial vision
Ideal candidate will be asked to develop and maintain departmental budgets for several business lines. Candidate must be confident and comfortable working with large dataset for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, and treasury accounting. This role will work with various departments within the firm: including but not limited to Technology/HR and Procurement.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the companies financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, auditing and financial operations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams on various initiatives impacting the financial reporting of the company including all financial metrics and KPI’s
- Manage all aspects of the monthly close process including revenues, expenses, T&E, and work with 3rd parties
- Must be familar with process of selecting and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- Develop and drive necessary financial policies, procedures, and internal controls, and play a leading role in directing change initiatives and process improvements
- Create executive presentations of financial results for review with senior executives
- Support external audit engagements including managing and coordinating with auditors and external service providers, and preparation/review of audited financial statements and footnote disclosures
- Identify risks, implement controls, and maintain proper process documentations
- Provide support for other ad hoc analyses and projects as needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is a must, CPA preferred.
- 8 years accounting experience out of Public Accounting or Private Accounting team is a plus, including prior Fin Services (strongly preferred).
- Data Visualization: Alteryx/Tableau/Power Bi or similar preferred
- ERP Implementation experience strongly preferred
- In depth experience working with general ledger and financial analysis, including journal entries and doing detailed account analyses.
- Experience or interest in accounting for Data or Technology Service companies
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
