Air and Ocean Export Specialist
Location : Moonachie, NJ
Salary : $65,000 / year ($33 / hour, based on a 37.5-hour workweek)
About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Air and Ocean Export Specialist to join our team in Moonachie, NJ. This position offers an opportunity to manage the full export process from pricing through billing while supporting global trade lanes. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service, technical knowledge, and industry expertise to ensure smooth export operations.
Must have experience working with specific country requirements and government organizations to produce documents for both air and ocean export and ensure that shipments are delivered as per schedule.
It is essential that you possess the following abilities, skills and experience :
- Minimum of 2 years prior NVOCC / Freight Forwarder
- Export (Air & Ocean) Industry Experience is Essential
- Must have Air & Ocean Documentation experience
- Demonstrate high level of detail and organization
- Ability to handle varying workloads
- Attention to detail, along with strong customer service and positive communication skills a must
- Hazmat Knowledge, Certification a plus
- Ability to book freight directly with steamship line & airlines
- Working knowledge of Air Freight - including TSA rules and regulations, AES Filing, and air freight consolidations
- Ability to work independently
