What are the responsibilities and job description for the Real Estate Acquisition Transaction Manager - NYC position at Coda SearchStaffing?
We are currently partnered with a global asset manager with a real estate platform that is approximately $80B globally. They are looking to further grow their real estate group by bringing on a Real Estate Transaction Manager to join their group and support their acquisitions efforts.
You'll be responsible for managing the transaction closing processes and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple teams and external stakeholders. You will work closely with the acquisitions, finance, tax, legal, and operations teams to support and execute complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Coordination :
Serve as the primary point of contact for external legal counsel, custodians, and regulatory agents during real estate acquisition processes.
Lead and manage closing processes, ensuring all necessary documentation and compliance requirements are met on schedule.
Compliance Management :
Oversee Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and other regulatory compliance tasks related to transactions.
Ensure all due diligence requirements and internal policies are adhered to throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Timeline Oversight :
Manage transaction timelines, providing clear communication and updates to all stakeholders.
Anticipate potential delays and proactively address issues to maintain deal momentum.
Collaboration with Internal Teams :
Partner with acquisitions, finance, tax, legal, and operations teams to align on transaction goals and requirements.
Facilitate effective information flow and issue resolution among cross-functional teams.
Documentation and Reporting :
Maintain comprehensive transaction records and ensure proper handoff to the operations team post-closing.
Prepare regular updates and reports for senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate transactions, preferably with a top-tier asset manager, real estate firm, or transaction advisory consulting group with a focus on real estate.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or JD) are a plus.
