Job Details
- Facilitate communication with employees, supervisors, and managers to ascertain human relations and work-related problems that adversely affect employee morale and organizational productivity
- Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations and/or personnel issues, either directly or through advice to line management, preparing documentation as required
- Determine workforce resource needs and assist the recruiter with interviews and selection of qualified applicants for approved exempt and non-exempt management, supervisory, and technical positions
- Assist leaders in writing and updating job descriptions and perform evaluations to determine appropriate compensation levels
- Administer appropriate disciplines, e.g., written warnings, suspensions, and/or terminations, etc., and prepares related written correspondence with assistance from HR Manager
- Perform/coordinate employee assessments, develops actions and/or initiatives to improve/enhance employee and/or functional area performance
- Counsel/direct employees about career paths and related development programs
- Monitor/coordinate performance review system and salary planning
- In collaboration with department management, assists with developing/formalizing appropriate actions to enhance employee performance
- Responsible for reviewing, modifying, and conducting the new employee orientation program which includes a systematic approach providing new employees with basic information to aid in their transition as a new employee
- Represent the business work unit at personnel-related hearings and investigations (i.e., unemployment, EEO, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in human resources or related field
- 2-3 years' experience as a generalist in Human Resources
- Good understanding of a wide range of HR disciplines
- Able to manage, organize, and prioritize own workload
- Able to effectively communicate (oral and written) across the business structure
- Effective at building positive relationships
- Team Player
- Accurate attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
