What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Inspector position at Coda Staffing?
Shift is Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
1 year contract position with the possibility of conversion to permanent.
Position Summary/ Objectives
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for inspecting, testing or receiving, in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with documented specifications. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Quality Control processes and can support the strategic and operational objectives of the business.
Essential Job Functions:
● Conduct inspections, testing, or receiving of in-process and finished products according to standard operating procedures.
● Assist with training for new quality control inspectors on inspection and test receiving, in-process and finished products according to standard operating procedures.
● Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
● Escalate any problems identified through proper channels such as the relevant area supervisor and/or manager.
● Assist in the maintenance of quality control areas.
● Maintain quality control equipment and calibration inspections, measuring and test equipment to standard operating procedures.
● Maintain quality records in accordance with documented procedures.
● Assist to generate sample binders.
● Assist with various projects and other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds.
Regular travel between Collagen Matrix sites may be required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not currently manage other people.
Education, Experience and Certification:
● High School Degree/Diploma Required (or GED Equivalent)
● Ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimum supervision.
● Ability to identify non-conforming products as specified by appropriate product specifications
● Familiar with inspection methods in medical device quality control.
● Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
● Good written and verbal communication skills
