We are looking for a Full Time Teacher to work in our infant room. The age range in this room is 6 weeks to 18 months. We are looking for a teacher who has great love and patience for children, is reliable and committed to the growth and well-being of children. The goal is to contribute to the child's healthy mental and emotional development to acclimate more easily to the next level of education.
The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday P.M. until 5:30 P.M.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1500 clock hours in a group setting or willingness to take a 45-clock hour online training
- Experience in Child Care preferred
- Ability to take initiative to continually improve service
- Ability to lift 50 Lbs.
- Ability to sit on the floor to engage in activities with infants
- Commitment to building relationships with children and families
If you do not meet Nebraska State Licensing requirements, we are willing to pay for the required trainings to meet these requirements. The Director will aid in scheduling any trainings needed to be in compliance with State Licensing
Must pass State Required Background Checks
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Taking state required classes to be working in childcare within the first 60 days of employment
- Supporting the lead infant teacher in implementing curriculum for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months
- Assisting in creating a safe and stimulation environment for infants
- Engaging with infants through play, music, story time and sensory play
- Providing individualized care and attention to each child
- Taking 24 clock hours of approved in-service annually
- Diapering infants
- Bottle and Spoon Feeding Infants
- Provide opportunities for children to develop positive self-images and experience success
- Foster positive relationships with all children in the classroom
- Ensure that all children are under appropriate supervision and guidance at all times
- In the absence of the Lead Teacher, take responsibility for the management of the classroom
- Develop effective relationships with parents through regular communication
