Job Summary
This is a PRN Position. Will require traveling to different counties, to cover shifts. The Armed Guard is responsible for maintaining a secure environment by protecting property, personnel, and assets. This role requires a vigilant and proactive individual who can respond effectively to security threats while ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site. The Armed Guard will utilize their training in law enforcement or military experience to enforce rules and regulations, conduct surveillance, and manage conflicts.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct thorough inspections of premises and property to ensure security measures are in place.
- Utilize CCTV and surveillance equipment to monitor activities and identify potential threats.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to report incidents or suspicious behavior.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Proficient in operating CCTV systems and conducting surveillance operations.
- Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and techniques.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail for identifying security risks.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse individuals in various situations.
