Code Sensei (Instructor/Tutor)
Position: Code Sensei at Code Ninjas, Hockessin, DE
Part-time | Wednesday/Thursdays/Fridays 4pm - 7pm Weekends (Sat) 10am – 2pm
Who are we?
Code Ninjas is the nation’s fastest growing kids coding franchise. In our center, kids ages 5-15 learn to code in a fun, non-intimidating way – by playing and building video games they love. Kids have blast and can’t wait to come back. Parents are thrilled as their children gain confidence and new skills including coding, math, logic, and problem-solving, as they progress from white to black belt. What are we looking for?
We are looking for Code Senseis (multiple openings) to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our Senseis are the lifeblood of our Code Ninjas center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. This position will require learning and teaching coding skills (including JavaScript, game development), training robots, and other STEM activities etc. to the students.

Responsibilities include:
- Technical Sales - Assisting sales team on educating the customer(s) about our programs, running game building sessions with students and confirming appointments.
- Training – learn the coding curriculum and become an expert on it.
- Create a positive and safe environment in which students can grow.
- Provide feedback to parents after working with student who is on a tour.
- Report daily to Center Director with respect to day’s activities and productivity in dojo.
- Follow opening/closing duties daily.
- Clean dojo throughout the day to ensure cleanliness is kept up to corporate standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven work history with children ages 5 and up (mentoring, coaching, tutoring, etc.).
- Knowledge about coding and technology, or be able to pick up the concepts (including JavaScript, game development, robotics, snap circuits, etc.)
- Must be fun to work with and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Works well with others, i.e., collaborative.
- Must have reliable transportation to work.
Work Authorization: US citizen or Permanent Resident required
Education: School or College with Computer Science background.
Job Type: Full-time or part-time - $15 to $17 per hour.
