At Code Ninjas, we are on a mission to build the next generation of coding ninjas. Our centers provide children ages 7-14 with a fun and engaging way to learn programming, game development, robotics, and more. We are looking for a highly motivated and technical individual to join our team as a Technical Assistant to support our instructors and ensure the smooth operation of coding programs.

Job Overview:

As a Technical Assistant at Code Ninjas, you will assist in delivering high-quality coding education in a dynamic, hands-on environment. You will support our Senseis (Instructors) by troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining coding stations, preparing equipment, and ensuring that our students have an optimal learning experience. You will also interact with parents and students to provide assistance with any technical challenges that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Management: Attend Phone calls, respond to emails, follow-up on leads
• Run Tour: Give tour of the facility and provide information
• Assist with technical support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in the coding lab.
• Setup and maintenance: Ensure that all computers, devices, and equipment are properly set up for lessons, and perform regular maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Help Senseis during lessons: Assist in the delivery of coding sessions by providing technical support to students, helping them with coding exercises, and ensuring all equipment is functioning.
• Monitor student progress: Support students as they work through coding projects, providing assistance and guidance where necessary.
• Administrative duties: Help track inventory and ensure that necessary supplies, like cables, chargers, and devices, are available for use.
• Maintain a positive learning environment: Create a safe, fun, and engaging space for students to learn and thrive.
• Customer support: Assist parents and students with any technical questions or concerns.
• Keep up to date with trends: Stay informed about new coding technologies and educational tools to enhance the learning experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical proficiency: Strong understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware, with experience in coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, JavaScript, Python, etc.) or similar technologies.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with students, parents, and team members.
• Customer-focused: Able to provide exceptional customer service and support in a positive, approachable manner.
• Attention to detail: Ability to identify and address issues with equipment or software proactively.
• Experience in education or tech support: Previous experience in an educational setting or technical support role is a plus.
• Team player: Ability to work well in a collaborative environment and assist team members as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with child-friendly coding platforms such as Scratch, Roblox Studio, or Minecraft Modding.
• Knowledge of STEM or educational technologies.
• Familiarity with basic networking and IT concepts.
• Ability to quickly learn new software and systems.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
