Position Overview
Business Intelligence Engineer
Requirements:
- We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join a dynamic new data team focused on building and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytics dashboards.
- This is an opportunity to shape how the team accesses, utilizes, and distributes data that continues to inform critical decision making within the organization.
- You'll work closely with Business Intelligence Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, Systems Engineers and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support reporting and analytics needs
- Create and optimize automated data workflows using modern data engineering tools
- Build and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and consistency across all reporting systems
- Design and implement data models that enable efficient reporting and analysis
- Monitor pipeline performance and implement improvements for better efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Document data flows, transformations, and dashboard specifications
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Quicksight
- 3-6 years of experience working with large-scale complex datasets and building data pipelines
- Strong expertise in SQL and data modeling
- Proficiency in at least one BI visualization tool (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Knowledge of data warehouse concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Plus if You have experience with Metric type reporting before. Metrics in general would be a plus.
