What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coding Camp Instructor position at Codemoji INC?
Codemoji offers a hands-on coding program designed to help students grow their skills in a fun and interactive environment. Through our online platform, unplugged activities, and robotics lessons, we make learning to code engaging. We’re currently looking for an instructor to lead our summer coding sessions for elementary students.
We provide all materials and lesson plans, so no prior coding experience is needed. Our ideal candidate is an educator with at least two years of classroom experience at the elementary level who understands effective teaching strategies, building relationships with students, and the importance of being on time. Since much of our program is digital, instructors will need to bring a laptop to each session. Each student will have their own computer for the duration of the program. Basic tech skills, such as navigating Google tools and connecting to wifi, are required.
Program Dates:
- July 7th - 11th: 8:15am - 3:30pm
- July 14th - 18th: 8:15am - 3:30pm
- July 21st - 25th: 8:15am - 3:30pm
- July 28th - August 1st: 8:15am - 3:30pm
Instructor Responsibilities:
- Arrive before the program starts and stay until all students are picked up or school protocols are met.
- Review lesson plans, test robots, and preview slides before each session. Support from our Curriculum Designer will be available.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment while building connections with students and staff.
- Follow all school policies and procedures.
