What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Teacher position at Codemoji INC?
Codemoji is a fast-growing Ed-Tech startup that provides a coding curriculum for students looking to expand their coding knowledge in a fun and engaging way. We teach coding via our online platform and unplugged activities. We are seeking an instructor to implement our summer curriculum for elementary students. Codemoji provides all the materials and lesson plans for you to utilize, so no previous coding knowledge is necessary. Our ideal candidates are educators with at least two years of elementary classroom experience who understand best practices, relationship-building with students, and the importance of timeliness. In this position, we ask that the instructor have access to a laptop to bring to each program session, as much of our curriculum is digital. Students will each have their own computers to use for the duration of the program. Confidence in fluently navigating Google and the ability to troubleshoot items such as connecting to wifi are necessary.
Scheduled dates are as follows:
- July 14th - 18th: 9 am - 4 pm
- July 21st - 25th: 9 am - 5 pm
As a Codemoji Instructor, you will be responsible for:
- Showing up before each program time and staying until all students are picked up or school protocols are met.
- Passing a background check.
- Reading over lesson plans, test robots/circuit boards, and review slides before each program session. Our Curriculum Designer will be available upon request for questions regarding implementing lesson plans and will provide onboarding before your first program session.
- Provide a safe and fun space for students in which you are building positive relationships with the school community.
- Following school guidelines and protocols.
You will need to be cleared by HR- this requires a background check.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
