What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metrc Supervisor position at CODES?
The METRC Supervisor is focused on inventory management in the METRC inventory system (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance, cannabis tracking software). This position is responsible for the process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely product inventory audits and controls. This position is also responsible for management of the green vault.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts inventory management in the METRC inventory system (Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance, statewide cannabis tracking software).
- Focuses on process, procedure, and systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting of product inventory audit and controls.
- Assures compliance with state regulations by having a strong understanding of METRC rules.
- Sets audit schedule and performs audits in all departments.
- Schedules testing of products and create transfer manifests.
- Ensures all data reported to METRC is timely, accurate, and compliant within 24 hours.
- Monitor stock levels on METRC tags.
- Tracks the movement of product throughout the production process.
- Writes METRC SOPs and conducts internal training on them.
- Audits Inventory Control Forms within METRC to identify discrepancies.
- Manages incoming transfers from Cultivation sites and the overall accuracy and completeness of this inventory on Monday.com
- Works with management and team members to reduce errors in data entry and required reporting / records maintenance.
- Performs audits to ensure inventory is 100% accurate and satisfies physical representation per state rules and regulations.
- Designs processes for verification of manifests to ensure proper information is correctly filled and completed prior to shipping.
- Manages the METRC team’s daily operations with METRC Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college or college graduate preferred.
- 1 year experience with METRC in the cannabis industry preferred.
- Considerable experience developing and working with Excel spreadsheets.
- Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge.
- State/Federal background checks required.
- Advanced computer knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priority of work.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage a team and demonstrate leadership by actions and lead as an example.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to effectively communicate well with all levels including direct reports, peers, and executives.
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform. grasping, carrying, sitting, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 40 pounds, manage stairs, and extended period sitting and standing.
