The ideal candidate is proactive in identifying and addressing ongoing or upcoming issues while maintaining and strengthening relationships with colleagues, business stakeholders, and management.
The candidate will serve as a hands-on engineer and technical task leader, providing guidance to less-experienced network personnel. This role requires on-call and off-hours support as needed. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced, large network environment supporting all facets of routing, switching, firewalls, and wireless.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP or equivalent.
- Experience with public cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) is a plus.
- Proficiency in advanced network protocols, including but not limited to BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VPN, WAF, IPS, TCP/IP, UDP, CDN, DNS, and load balancing.
- Strong skills in managing complex projects and implementing innovative solutions.

- Establish and configure reliable voice and data networks by installing and configuring telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors during deployment.
- Manage network security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
- Optimize and configure network protocols to ensure high availability and redundancy.
- Integrate new technologies to enhance network performance and reliability.
- Collect and analyze data from plant records, site surveys, networking drawings, and building schematics to identify improvement opportunities and ensure optimal network performance.
- Evaluate network performance metrics to recommend enhancements.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network and wireline documentation, including diagrams and configuration details.
- Update documentation regularly to reflect changes in network infrastructure.
- Perform circuit and equipment testing to verify service quality.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, escalating them to management when necessary.
- Demonstrate proficiency with network capture analysis tools like Wireshark or similar technologies.
