Who We Are Looking For
Experienced Data Warehouse Architect to support the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Data Warehouses. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in managing large data systems, particularly within state government agencies, and be adept at using tools like Teradata, SQL, and Linux to ensure the smooth running of data operations. This role requires someone who is highly skilled in system security, data management, and overseeing complex change management processes. The position is hybrid, requiring candidates to be local to mid-Michigan, with onsite presence two days per week.
Responsibilities
Security Management : Oversee the Linux security model on Data Warehouse ETL servers, ensuring appropriate security structure and user access authorization.
Teradata Administration : Administer Teradata security and access controls, maintaining the integrity of data systems.
Batch and Scheduler Management : Maintain and enhance the Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler for accurate and reliable data availability for business processes.
Change Management : Manage Data Warehouse change management infrastructure, including code promotions and DDL updates, ensuring consistency in build processes.
Process Transition : Support the transition of three separate MDHHS Data Warehouses to common processes, enhancing operational efficiency across program areas.
Audit and Compliance : Conduct elevated access audits to ensure compliance with security standards and mitigate any audit findings, contributing to System Security Plans (SSPs).
Continuity Planning : Oversee the Data Warehouse continuity planning, ensuring testing and alignment with business needs.
Troubleshooting : Provide support for resolving escalated Data Warehouse issues and offering technical expertise to teams.
Collaboration : Work independently while maintaining strong collaboration within a team environment.
Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of experience with Teradata.
Minimum 10 years of experience with SQL.
Minimum 10 years of experience with shell scripting.
Minimum 5 years of experience with Linux.
Experience supporting at least one State of Michigan MDHHS Data Warehouse or another State of Michigan agency’s Data Warehouse.
Proven ability to support data loading from multiple source systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide targeted training and technical expertise to development teams.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Strong decision-making skills.

Codeworks, LLC discloses that the anticipated hourly pay range for this position is between $80 and $105. This range is subject to change based on job-related factors, including client requirements where applicable.
