Who We’re Looking For :
A Desktop Support professional to provide expert-level technical assistance in support and preparation of desktop applications and hardware.
The role requires extensive knowledge and experience with desktop technology, including but not limited to Windows desktop operating systems, desktop applications, Multi-Function Devices (print / fax / copier / scanner), and wireless devices such as Android phones, iPhones, and / or iPads.
This is a long term contract position in Milwaukee WI.
Responsibilities :
This position involves handling escalated support issues from an internal Service Desk.
The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience in Desktop Support and be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures related to desktop technology.
The Desktop Support Specialist will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
This position is expected to independently perform a variety of desktop-related tasks and resolve end-user issues on a daily basis.
The role may involve leading and directing the work of others. A high degree of creativity, self-direction, and prioritization is expected.
Qualifications :
Remote Desktop Management Tools
Experience in technical writing and documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Customer service experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills with advanced customer support capabilities
Technical assistance and user support experience
Proficiency with MS Office products
Familiarity with Active Directory Tools
General understanding of Microsoft MECM / SCCM (for patch management, software deployment, and inventory management)
Installation and maintenance of PCs
Knowledge of Omnissa Horizon, VMWare Workstation, Microsoft VPC, or similar products
Experience with mobile device management (iPad, iPhone, Android)
Proficient in troubleshooting all hardware
Experience in application installation, support, and troubleshooting
Experience with Mac OS X
Proficiency with MS Windows 10 and Windows 11
