Codeworks is a locally owned and operated IT Services firm in SE Wisconsin, known for our strong commitment to quality and for our direct client relationships.

Our Healthcare client is looking to bring aboard multiple senior level Software Engineers with strong C & Java development background working in a Linux / UNIX environment, coupled with knowledge of Microservices / API frameworks. This would be to join their team on a 12 month consulting basis with a strong potential for extension.

Responsibilities would include :

Design, develop, and test non-real-time functional magnetic resonance image (MRI) processing and analysis across the product portfolio with different deployment models.
Develop, analyze, and review detailed designs and software implementations aligned with the overall product software architecture and technology stack, following the Software Development Life Cycle process.
Serve as a technical expert in the MR visualization and digital application domains, evaluating and integrating third-party solutions into the non-real-time roadmap.
Design and deliver reusable software components using platform-based design principles.
Champion product quality, ensuring all design artifacts meet or exceed quality standards.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies, industry advancements, and market trends to inform project development and operational support activities.
Provide technical guidance on feature development, design / code / test methodology reviews, and lead cybersecurity and reliability efforts alongside cross-functional software teams.
Drive innovation by developing proof-of-concept solutions to support the architectural roadmap.

The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience with the following :

Strong professional experience using object-oriented Analysis / design, and software Design patterns & methodologies.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as a software engineer

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 6 years of relevant experience in software development.

Experience with configuration management tools such as Git.

Proficiency with modern software development tools, including programming languages (C / Java / Node.js / Python) and IDEs (Visual Studio / VS Code).

Experience in full-stack software design and development.

Proven ability to technically lead complex application development in the healthcare domain.

Strong understanding of software design patterns and the ability to integrate solutions with both legacy and new software modules.

Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.

Experience in designing and implementing software solutions based on an analysis of current vs. future business needs.

Knowledge of configuration options and cost implications for complex solutions.

Ability to review and implement research findings to develop feasible solutions, including navigating the approval process.

Experience in maintaining operational stability across different software lifecycle phases (planning, implementation, steady-state, and decommissioning).

Strong collaboration skills and experience working in a team-oriented software development environment.
