POSITION SUMMARY: The Management Analyst will be responsible for providing critical support in overseeing project related financial operations. The Management Analyst shall utilize strong quantitative skills, possess a comprehensive understanding of financial principles, analyze complex data to support strategic decision making and support corporate activities.
The position requires close attention to detail on all work products, ability to multi-task and understand all aspects of corporate finance. The dynamic individual shall be experienced in handling a wide range of executive support-related tasks and able to work independently with little or no supervision. Will be highly organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting a dynamic office environment. Effectively and efficiently performs management analysis tasks and report to the Chief Financial Officer and CEO. Maintains the strictest confidentiality of executive and corporate business matters. Duties and Responsibilities
o Responsible for formulating project analysis by creating and maintaining financial models for each project that the company undertakes.
o Develop financial models that can absorb and sustain data for budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
o Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to assess performance, identify trends, and provide insights to the CFO and CEO.
o Collaborate with various client departments to obtain cost and financial information in support of financial models.
o Assess current progress and practices of company-wide projects and identify shortfalls and bottlenecks and recommend courses of action.
o Identify profitable opportunities in current company practices related to project performance and provide findings to CFO and CEO.
o Prepare and present detailed reports, presentations and recommendations to CEO and CFO based on financial analysis and findings.
o Formulate and monitor, company relevant, key performance indicators and formulate strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
o Make recommendations for improvement to include new practices, projects, reports, data collection, and/or staffing changes based on assessments of current practices.
o Prepare project related budgets and variance analysis to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
o Keep up with industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices in finance and recommend adjustment to company practices.
o Support internal and external audits by providing relevant financial data, written responses, documentation, and analysis.
o Produce monthly project and contract performance analysis report, to include financial performance, profitability, adherence to project and contract compliance items, and inform relevant project manager and senior managers of project-wise trends, profitability, financial analysis, opportunities, and vulnerabilities.
o Keep track of actual vs budgeted spending and financial key performance indicators.
o Identify contract policies, regulations, and deliverables to produce delivery-based payments reports.
o Assess, analyze, and produce financial viability reports on US and international projects.
- Responsible for developing detailed financial written reports and proposals.
- Provide analytical reports to management on special projects, project narratives, identify industry trends and available funding mechanisms.
- Present oral and written reports to the CEO, CFO and clients if required; review monthly in-house financial statements.
- Contributes to team projects by accomplishing required tasks rapidly.
- Maintains the strictest confidentiality of executive and corporate business matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Requires excellent written, oral communication and deep analytical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting principles and standards
- Excellent knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented, plays close attention to detail
- Self-starter who can independently work within project management techniques and be highly analytical.
- Experience and familiarity using computer systems, mobile devices, office equipment such as scanners, copiers, printers, etc.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage timelines and ability to prioritize effectively.
Required Education:
§ Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field – Business Administration, Accounting, Economics and/or Finance.
Required Experience:
§ 36 months experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
§ A graduate degree could be used to compensate for a portion of the experience.
