What are the responsibilities and job description for the STEAM Summer Camp Counselor and Instructor Opening! position at Coding and Robotics Club?
The Coding and Robotics Club offers in-person year-round after school programming and summer camps to over 800 children! Our camps are day camps 10am-3pm and feature a variety of topics, themes and activities. They are located out of our Club House in Bellingham, Skagit and North Whatcom. Counselors generally take their camp on the road to all three locations. We are currently looking for:
- Coding Counselors (most kids work in Scratch and JavaScript) on our curriculum software.
- Robotic and Drones Camp Counselors (we use VEX but Legos/first transfers easily!)
- Sports Camp Counselors! Code and Go Sports Camp will feature coding half the time and sports half the time and we need counselors for sports and STEM!
- Lego Camp Counselors (know We-Dos? Spikes? Mindstorms? Come play with us!)
- General STEM lovers who can do or learn a little bit of everything, I mean these are 3-5th graders, you can probably out-code most of them but we do 3D printing, arduinos, drones, garage band, or any other fun skill YOU can bring to the table!
- We also have a few openings for 10 hours RIGHT NOW for After School Instructors!

Our counselor positions require some previous coding/technical experience. Previous experience working with kids is also necessary. We want someone who LOVES kids and wants to bring their love of STEM or sports to our campers!

- Provide support and encouragement when students become frustrated/distracted
