Position: Security Architect

About the Role:
We are seeking a Security Architect to design, implement, and maintain secure systems within an FDA-regulated medical device environment. This role involves leading Product Security Incident Response Team (PSIRT) processes and developing key security architecture artifacts to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
✔️ Security Architecture Development – Create and maintain security models, including Global System View, Multi-Patient Harm View, Updateability/Patchability View, and Security Use Case View.
✔️ Product Security Incident Response (PSIRT) – Lead PSIRT processes for R&D, ensuring timely mitigation of vulnerabilities.
✔️ Risk Assessment & Compliance – Conduct risk analyses and align security strategies with FDA cybersecurity guidelines and industry standards.
✔️ System Updateability & Patchability – Develop architecture that enables secure software updates and patch management.
✔️ Cross-Team Collaboration – Work with product, DevOps, IT, and regulatory teams to integrate security best practices into the product lifecycle.
Qualifications:
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
✅ 7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on regulated industries (FDA, healthcare, medical devices).
✅ Proven expertise in security architecture, incident response, and vulnerability management.
✅ In-depth knowledge of FDA cybersecurity requirements (IEC 81001, NIST, OWASP, IMDRF, etc.).
✅ Strong experience with risk analysis methodologies related to patient safety.
✅ Preferred: Master’s degree and certifications such as CISSP, CSSLP, CISM.
