Position Overview
Codman Academy is seeking a dedicated and energetic Enrichment Liaison (9-12) to support the implementation and management of enrichment and elective programming for students in grades 9-12. In this role, you will serve as the second-in-command for the Enrichment & Electives Director, ensuring the continuity and quality of enrichment programs across all grade levels. You will also play a critical role in student support, behavior management, and the smooth operation of the enrichment programs, including covering classes when instructors are absent, managing front desk responsibilities, and overseeing snack distribution and dismissal.
Key Responsibilities
Program Support & Coverage
Serve as the primary point of contact for enrichment and elective programs in the absence of the Enrichment & Electives Director.
- Cover enrichment classes and programs when instructors are absent, ensuring that students continue to receive engaging, well-organized activities.
- Ensure all programming materials and resources are in place for all enrichment and elective sessions.
Assist in the coordination and scheduling of enrichment activities, ensuring that all students are provided with access to the programs offered.
Student Support & Behavior Management
Provide behavioral support and ensure that students adhere to school-wide expectations during enrichment and elective sessions.
- Support students in managing their behavior and promote positive interactions and engagement during activities.
- Work closely with teachers and staff to identify and address individual student needs, providing targeted support as necessary.
Collaborate with the Student Success Team (SST) to address behavioral challenges and develop intervention strategies.
Administrative Support
Manage the front desk area for the enrichment programs, ensuring that all visitors and students are greeted appropriately and that the space is maintained.
- Ensure the smooth operation of snack distribution, ensuring that students receive their snacks in a timely and organized manner.
- Assist in tracking student participation and engagement in enrichment activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of enrollment, attendance, and program outcomes.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the Enrichment & Electives Director to implement program goals and ensure alignment with school-wide priorities.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, staff, and families to ensure that students are participating and thriving in enrichment activities.
Collaborate with school leadership and other staff members to promote the value of enrichment programming and encourage broad student participation.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
Strong background in K-8 education, with experience in enrichment or extracurricular programming.
- Experience in student behavior management and providing support for students with diverse needs.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students, staff, and families.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Enrichment & Electives Director or Head of School to support the enrichment program and student success.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, particularly in educational or enrichment settings.
- Background in arts, STEM, or physical education to support diverse programming.
- Experience managing front desk or administrative duties.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, or Somali is a plus.
Salary Range: $38,500 - $40,000
