Description
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervision and management of assigned staff:
- Assist BH Director with recruitment, hiring, and training of a diverse program staff, including BH clinicians, allied support staff, and graduate interns.
- Audit staff practices and develop and implement systems for improvement.
- Supervise assigned staff, including clinical supervision towards licensure, supporting professional development, monitoring productivity, auditing staff practices and importing systems of improvement for assigned staff. Collaborates with BH Director to conduct performance reviews.
Care Delivery Systems:
- Collaborate with BH Director to develop, implement and revise policies and procedures for effective service delivery based on changing mental health needs. Participate in quality improvement programs.
- Support development of innovative treatment programs that serve the needs of the diverse patient populations.
- Collaborate and facilitate ongoing relationships with stakeholders internally and externally to improve service delivery and support patients along the continuum of care.
Delivery of Direct Clinical Care/ Clinical Expertise:
- Provide assessment, crisis response, in the moment intervention, treatment planning and short-term care to patients presenting with BH needs.
Department Leadership:
- Collaborate with BH director to develop department vision, goals, and procedures
- effectively communicate those developments to staff and key stakeholders
- Collaborate with BH director to co-lead development of department initiatives designed to foster team development and maintain an outstanding customer service culture.
- Collaborate with BH director to ensure programs meet all regulatory requirements such as Joint Commission, DPH etc.
- Other duties and/or other locations as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master’s degree in social work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling and at least 5 years post graduate direct clinical experience. (required)
- Independently licensed as an LICSW, LHMC, or Psy.D (required)
- Exceptional skills in relationship building and navigation with diverse internal and external stakeholders (required)
- Readily flexible in a dynamic environment (required)
- Culturally humble and informed clinical therapy experience with patients across the lifespan through therapy services including individual, couples, family, and group work (required)
- High ethical standards and the ability to maintain professional licensing (required)
- Able to successfully complete insurance credentialing (required)
- Strong clinical documentation skills (required)
- Strong time management, systems thinking, and communication skills (required)
- Experience with electronic health re cords (required) and Epic (preferred)
- Experience with integrated behavioral health in primary care (preferred)
- At least 3 years’ experience providing clinical supervision. (preferred)
- Demonstrated progressively more responsible experience in a behavioral health setting (preferred)
- Fluency in Haitian Creole or Spanish (preferred)
