Job DetailsCirculating OR RN neededProvide direct patient care, evaluate outcomes and adjust the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.Able to perform a focused assessment and reassessment. This includes pediatric, adolescent, geriatric and the general patient population.Exhibit cooperation and positive attitude toward other hospital departments.Serves as a professional member of the Surgical Services team.Communicate questions about appropriateness of medical or nursing care through chain of command as needed.Perform treatments and procedures as directed, which are within the individual's training and capabilities with diagnostic exam and procedures including cardiac monitoring and nursing care of patient receiving procedural sedation.Preparation of the surgical suite for the procedures which are to be performed. To include all functions according to AORN Standards and hospital policy.Safe care of all patients during their stay in the OR according to AORN standards and hospital policy.Knowledge of all equipment used in the surgical services department.Documents medications and nursing care in a timely and accurate manner in the E.H.R.Teach the patient based on identified learning needs; evaluate the effectiveness of the patients learning. Include the family in the teaching as appropriate.
