Hours: Monday-Wednesday: 3:15 PM - 2:45 AM; Thursday: 3:15 PM - 10:15 PM; Overtime as needed

What you'll be doing:

• Using a tape measure, squaring, straight edging, and/or leveling to verify slab length, width, flatness, and squareness
• Loading and unloading granite products into the polish machine with an overhead crane
• Aligning and squaring stone to the polish machine as needed
• Clamping small stones to larger stones as needed to prevent movement during the polishing process
• Setting up and operating the automated polish machine to process the correct sequence of polishing bricks to the stone to achieve the correct finish
• Inspecting stone for general and job-specific acceptance of stone tolerance, quality, and appearance criteria
• Monitoring the polish machines during operation to adjust line speed for optimal performance
• Touching up and detailing your work using a variety of hand and air tools
• Laying out the stone to indicate work segment cuts for the saws per production ticket specifications
• Scanning production tickets to record work performed in the JDE system and matching tickets with the correct stone when work is complete
• Programing new sequences into the automated polish machine as necessary
• Coordinating with forklift driver or crane operator to obtain granite materials that are to be polished
• Operating a forklift to move granite products and materials as necessary
