Primary Responsibilities: As a Director / Associate Director of Project Management, you will be responsible for guiding and optimizing the performance of a high-profile, multi-disciplinary team to ensure successful client delivery. This role goes beyond traditional project oversight, requiring strategic alignment with complex portfolios, staffing resourcing, and budget management, as well as advancing client relationships and ensuring operational excellence across projects.
- Own responsibility for the success of the collective team and delivery to client
- Oversee, manage, and support a growing team on a high profile, high performance client
- Oversee definition of annual scopes, staff plans, and roadmaps within assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with long-term annual marketing plans
- Track and manage budgets for high risk / high complexity projects within assigned portfolio
- Must have a proven track record of contributing to client relationship building in partnership with Account Team
- Lead client meetings, communications, and follow-ups in deliverable project planning
- Monitor and optimize holistic staff allocation within assigned portfolio to ensure alignment with account funding, staff level to complexity
- Identify and mitigate resourcing gaps, opportunities, or redundancy among direct and indirect reports
- Monitor cross-discipline staffing, resources, and burn rates for assigned portfolio to ensure tracking towards strategic and financial goals and alignment with annual marketing plans and budgets
- Help grow existing account business, mitigate risks, and identify new opportunities
- Validate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast through collaboration with resourcing and project management teams
- Share key learnings to inform future resourcing needs
- Consult with utilization lead on cross-discipline program / portfolio staffing and burn rates, utilization, and resource / hiring requests
- Partner with agency business leads to optimize financial processes across partners to ensure compliance, quality, and efficiency
- Serve as escalation point for teams across clients within program
- Enable and promote best practices and enure new processes are documented, shared, and advocated
- Optimize processes related to contract compliance and ensures new processes are documented, shared / trained, and advocated
- Advance agency’s project management best practices, processes, and tools; support training and onboarding for new hires

Position offers competitive pay with benefits based on experience and qualifications. The salary range for this role at the associate director level is $135,000-$165,000/yr.
Desired Skills Experience:
- 7-10 years of project management experience within an advertising agency or with multi-agency teams across disciplines
- Experience working on pharmaceutical advertising team(s) in an agency environment required
- Pharmaceutical launch experience required
- Must be client facing with a client service sensibility, able to lead and manage client communications and meetings as appropriate
- Solid track record of successfully leading projects from initiation to completion on time, on budget, and within scope, including resource management across disciplines
- Able to manage project planning from start to finish across complex projects running in parallel
- Complete understanding of principles of marketing and communications planning, including strategy, creative, and production practices
- This role requires regular in-office presence with a minimum of three days per week, to engage and collaborate in in-person team interactions and meetings as required
