SUMMARY:
The Banquet Server will set up and service catered events, conferences, and banquets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Set up location according to function request including utilizing carts to move equipment, moving tables and chairs, and arranging place settings.
- Work with all team members to provide exemplary service to patrons during events.
- Tear down and clean up location after events have ended.
- Perform necessary tasks to maintain equipment.
- Perform bartending functions as needed.
- Assist all team members to ensure projects are completed in a timely fashion.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Must pass pre-interview physical test.
- Ability to handle trays of up to eight plates, with covers, required.
- Ability to move, handle, and set up banquet tables required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Food handler’s permit preferred; ability to obtain a food handler’s permit required.
- Six months previous serving and/or bartending experience preferred.
Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Must be able to work well in a team environment.
- Must have strong multi-tasking skills.
- The ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes preferred.
- Must be able to find acceptable solutions to problems within policy guidelines.
